Private Guided Tours Sightseeing, history, art, architecture, fashion, life-style, food, shopping, nightlife! Rome off the beaten track! Absolutely personal and fascinating itineraries, which duration may last from three to a maximum of ten hours, performed all year round including major Italian holidays (with no extra charges). They have been elaborated by our specialists for individuals or small groups. Should you have large groups, including corporate and incentive groups, we can make special personalized arrangements to accommodate them. Conducted always by your personal licensed guide, at an easy pace, on foot (or using a taxi for long distances), or with private and comfortable transportation (chauffeured air-conditioned limousine, minivan, minibus or bus), you will relive history in the places which bear witnesses of one of the most important ancient civilizations. You will admire the most renowned monuments and artistic sites, discovering some of the less known, exploring and enjoying historical, colorful, fascinating past and present of Rome, through its warm welcome, its gourmet's cuisine. In the Vatican City State you will astonish at the Sistine Chapel, at all art treasures in the Vatican Museums. You will visit the largest church in the world: St. Peter's Basilica and see the famous statue of La Pietà, Michelangelo's youth masterpiece. While historically and culturally accurate, our guides' talks aim to be entertaining and to have a little sense of humor. If you have just a half day stopover and it is your fist time in Rome, it is advisable to take the Highlights Discovery, a driving tour which will give you a general and almost complete idea of Rome and of the Vatican City. The must-see itineraries are the ones an interested tourist can't loose at all. They are four tours lasting 3 hours each: Rome of the Caesars, Baroque & Renaissance Rome, Vatican Highlights and Christian Rome. Being your first time in Rome and having only one day to dedicate to sightseeing the two recommended must-see tours are Rome of the Caesars and Vatican Highlights. Starting early in the morning you do both tours in 6 hours. Having rested a couple of hours you may still work out the Squares, Palaces & Fountains tour before dining. If you have a two days sojourn you may include the Christian Rome tour to visit Catacombs and two of the most impressive churches of Rome. Other complementary tours are dedicated to visitors who are staying more than two days or the ones who are returning to the Eternal City for the second time and want to deepen their knowledge of Rome and Vatican. For those visitors who have simply had enough of chaos, noise and pollution of the city, there are magnificent places in Rome surrounding, easily reachable by car for half a day or a day trip. European aristocrats, back in the 18th c., on their Grand Tour of Europe, spent considerable time in the small hill towns and countryside surrounding Rome. Many of the landscapes and antiquities they admired then have changed surprisingly little and it's an exciting experience to follow in their footsteps around the temples, cascades and magnificent villas of Tivoli, Frascati and the rest of Lazio.
