Why the need of a licensed tour guide?
With a personal tour guide you may visit the places that interest you most, at whatever time suits you best, at a pace that you choose and with no waiting for other people! Our tour guides are friendly, fluent English-speaking professionals. They have in-depth knowledge of Roman culture, way of life, food and wine, history and more. They have also an expert-level knowledge of history, arts and culture of the enclave State: Vatican City State. They may tailor the tour to suit perfectly your desires, adding however a great deal of cultural, artistic and historical perspectives to the places you visit. Each Province has stiff competitive examinations that tour guides must pass. and they must abide by the laws (license yearly renewal, income taxes, social security, etc.), and the payment regulations. Our guidelines regarding our tour guides' behavior Selection All our guides are carefully selected on the basis of qualifications, experience, practice and reputation. They are fully qualified professionals, licensed members of their professional organization. They will be accurately selected caring for the client’s wishes and needs. So be certain you will have the best person for the best of your tours. Preparing the tour According to the written program prepared by our staff, your guide will receive a written form with all details about the services: clients' names and nationalities, dates, departure times and locations, car or bus driver's name and portable phone numbers, visits requested, museums reservations, entrance tickets, restaurant vouchers, in order to prepare each visit. Possibly the tour guide will telephone you the day before your visit. Guide's behavior Our guides will arrive a little earlier than departure time, smartly dressed and smiling. They will greet you warmly and let you know the plan for the day. Each visit is different and the guide will try to suit the visit to your wishes and special requests, offering exactly what you have required at a pace you will like. They will try to answer any question you will ask them and eventually repeat any part of lecturing which has not been well absorbed. They will give you any possible advice for the rest of your stay in regard to restaurants, other places to visit, night life, timetables. They will respect the confidentiality of any information received from the client. They will not ask for gratuities, but they may accept them, if offered, with discretion.
